good morning
I've enjoyed reading everyone's first posts & talking about our challenges. I am inspired to count how much sock yarn I have - I bet I have enough for 100 pairs, not counting other yarn that I've used for socks, just actual sock yarn.
I cast on my first "challenge" project yesterday. It's a little early, I know, but I wanted it ready for my sort-of-camping weekend. It's the cotton chenille top. The yarn's a little stiff & it's not going to be fun to knit with. But it'll be great traveling knitting.

Wonderful for YOU! there is no time to start like the present. I am resisting going on a binge this weekend, but I keep telling myself, what would I buy that I absolutely need. I think this is going to have to be my mantra though the summer. I can't wait to see our first SOS FO!
Okay, well, this sounds good, since I have been buying too much yarn for a while and I never actually knit up the sweater yarn for myself in the end. But I HAVE to buy the yarn for my FIL's Christmas sweater. But that will be it. Of course, I cheat, since I'm a spinner I can MAKE new yarn, but I will try not to purchase. This is a good plan...
Actually, I'm learning to spin, too, but I'm not planning on buying any rovings after the money I just spent last week.
