Lolly's Summer Plans
I have a lot of yarn. Sure, I know other people that have more than I do, but I know that this is a lot for me. Summer of Stash is more than just stashbusting for me, however, it is trying to ignore those rampant materialistic feelings that take over my body in the yarn shop!
Just for fun - and because I am a nerd - I added up the yardage in my stash, and converted it into miles. I was seriously shocked at the results...
How did this happen? I only started knitting in November 2003, not even 3 years ago! I am planning to keep this tally and repost it after each finished object with the adjusted totals. I am interested to see just how much I can do!
The Summer of Stash comes at the right time - I will be working through my stash in tandem with my Project Spectrum extravaganza, as well as the Summer of Socks knitalong and the Trek With Me knitalong. It's going to be a busy summer... but as you can see, I have a lot of stash to get through!
There is only one foreseeable exception: Kris and I are going to the beach, and I just love this little yarn shop on the Delaware shore. I may pick up a few skeins for a little "souvenir" of the trip... but that is really it. I do not have a reward specifically planned, as I do not want my stash to grow quite as fast as it did! Yet, Stitches East and our California vacation will follow in November, so I am sure I will add a few souvenir projects to the stash after those trips.
Thanks for starting this group! I am looking forward to the challenge, and reading about your stashbusting as well! You can read more about my efforts on my blog, LollyKnitting Around. Best wishes! ;)
