Norway calling!

I'm a 30 year old yarnoholic born and raised in Norway - and I have way to much yarn. You can read more about me on my blog.

Stash Confession:

In June 2004 - this was my stash:

Two years later - this is my stash:

Does yarn reproduce? One may wonder.

Most of my yarn is wool and I like to knit and felt. I just started knitting socks this year, but I already have enough yarn to knit socks to last me a lifetime. Most of my sock yarn is Regia, but there is also some Opal and other brands.

My plan:

- I have "a couple" of UFOes waiting to be finished and are going to use some time to do so.

Exceptions:

- I need yarn for a summerKAL - I'm going to knit a top.
- This summer I planned to visit some factories...Dale and Sandnes. They sell yarn for half the LYS price in the factory outlet.

Reward:

- I'm new to spinning and saving up for a wheel. Jubbi!

I've...I've just never seen anything like it. It's beautiful and yet frightening all at once. But so NEAT. I hope that it brings you much joy and we're glad to have you aboard this dwindling yarn ship!

How did you get your stash to reproduce so neatly? Mine goes off on wild drinking sprees and nine months later I find small skeins of fun fur behind a couch...

I don't know which I am more envious of, the beautiful wooly stash or the way it is so beautifully displayed.

OH MY GOODNESS! I love your stash display. Now I need to throw away all my clothes so that I can have my wool look just like yours. It's so beautiful.

Knit up!

I thought I had a yarn store, but you truly have a yarn store! I love the open organization!

That. Is. Impressive. And the beautiful organization and display distracts the visitor from the sheer massive size of the stash!

I'm going to be in Norway in August. Where are the Dale and Sandnes factories located?!?!

Oh yes and your stash is amazing! I wish mine was as well organized and displayed.

Oh my, that's a yarn shop there! I am all for getting a spinning wheel, but I don't think that will help in your efforts to decrease the stash =)

Oh my, if I could arrange for my stash to reproduce so neatly, I dont' think I would worry about it at all. This looks better stocked than the yarn stores in my area! LOL...if you even need a trading partner you would have plenty of helpers!

Wow! And what are the store hours? Do you sell patterns for the choice of yarn? And when the store is not open, do you give lessons in organization?
I wish my house could be so orderly.
