Bag Lady
This reveals my true pattern whore nature. I saw Ginabeana's beautiful bag on this here blog not more than a week or so ago. And today -- my own is released into the wild. Now that I look back, hers is classier -- look at that lining! And I couldn't wait to go somewhere and buy a handle so I bloody well knit one.
The pattern is superb. You cannot tell because this is knit from too-dark-to-photograph Paris Night Malabrigo, but the decreases, the cables and the whole shape work together very well.
I am this close to finishing that other almost finished thing I showed you when I was still at the beach (sigh) but I ran out of yarn and am currently wrinkling my nose at my feltable stash to see what will work to finish it. Since I am not buying more. This picture does not show knitting put to its proper use. And it will not be a hat. But it probably should be, from the evidence.

Ooh, that is gorgeous! I love, love that color for it. And I have to agree with you. The pattern really is great the way that everything comes together.

I love the, er, hat. But the bag seems a bit more useful....
