I danced with the yarn today

and I came out a Winner! The kids had a dentist appointments, so we took the 2.5 hour trip to "town." As it is usually REALLY slow around there, I decided to go downtown to the yarn store. Although I was VERY tempted to purchase some of the stuff that looks like weed-eater line...they made purses out of it...I only carressed some yarn, oogled the finished socks, and created my mental birthday list of skeins I need. I did come away with Addi sized 2 dps, and a sock pattern to use with the yarn I already have. I even withstood the urgings of the other knitters...I bought no yarn!

I need ice cream.

Congratulations for your self-control. I walked away from a huge bin of clearance Paton's Grace yarn in yellow and tangerine today. I've regretted it, but feel stronger for the experience!

Our weed-eater line is a flourescent green...well this stuff was slinkier, transparent, and came in some very beautiful colors. The purse was knit using a double strand and what looked like a size 13 needle. For some reason I'm drawing a blank when I try to remember the name on the spool. I tried looking at Patons as the store carries many of their products. I may have to call them just to satisfy my curiosity!

Of course, I may have to wait a few days...I only have so much strength!
