Another Confession

Is it bad that I'm growing jealous of all you people with more sock yarn than you know what to do with? I have 1 .. I'll say it again .. 1 skein of sock yarn. And I want more! I know it's silly, but I wear socks around the house all the time, and I want to make my own so badly. Despite the cost of doing so .. which my DH is actually alright with so long as I actually enjoy the process and the finished produch gets some use.

*counts the days until labor day*

Only 84 days until I can buy more. 84 days.

Have you considered using some of your DK or worsted stash and making house socks or bed socks? They'll be too thick for wearing with shoes, but at least you can give socks a try. Or you could use some worsted for socks for Dulaan. You can try making socks, bust some stash, and knit for others -- all at once! There are a ton of free patterns out there for socks of all weights. Then, come Fall, buy yourself some fantastic sock yarn, smugly knowing that you survived the Summer of Stash!

I too only have one skein of sock yarn in my stash.

But I second Liz's house sock or Dulaan worsted sock thought because they knit quick and are so cozy.

If I give up on sock knitting I might just have to send some your way!
