Future Yarn Collector!!

O.K. Forgive me fellow SOS members for I have sinned!! It all started when I took my great niece (and NEW knitter) shopping for her very own knitting "utensils" as she calls them!! LOL. She has just learned to knit and I must admit VERY good!! She even joined my knitting group last night and had a BLAST!!!! SO.....back to my downfall.....It is a long drive to A.C. Moore....I drove ALL the way out there......and with gas prices being what they are....and being under an ozone alert yesterday.... I felt it my civic duty to conserve my gas and time!! I bought yarn awhile back for a scarf but it really needed some eyelash to go with it.....so I find myself in the middle of A.C. Moore with Montana....with blinders on my eyes to all yarn except the "warshrag" yarn she is wanting to buy....AND despite the fact that I have a drawer full and wanted more I was .....I was REALLY strong.....and then I accidentally turned just a tiny tad.....and there it was.....eyelash....on SALE.....I really needed this yarn to go with a previous purchase.....so it's not like I was buying something for MYSELF!!! AND....I only bought ONE skein to go with the yarn I previously purchased.....so I admit.....I am a weak, worthless, spineless knitter that just couldn't pass this particular skein of yarn up......but I promise it was ONLY because it is such a long drive and gas is WAYYYYY too high for me to run back across town later on to pick it up.

Does this mean I am excommunicated from the SOS????? Sure hope not!!!

Nope. Not excommunicated. As with any diet, the key is not to let this throw you off. Just dust yourself off, and get back on the horse. Yes, you slipped once . . . but that doesn't mean you can't keep going. Hang in there. This ain't easy.

No excommunications, my dear. Just post a pic of the scarf and the offending eyelash purchase. You are a good aunt.

Encouraging a young knitter trumps the backsliding. Got to make all the driving worth it!

What a good aunt you are! Love the stash your neice has.

And one ball won't hurt as its going for something you have already.
