One Down, One (or Two) to Go
I used one of my exceptions this past weekend, and bought yarn to make my two daughters simple white sweaters for the summer. Of course, by the time I get around to making them, it won't be summer any longer, and I will have violated my newly adopted rule of not buying yarn until I'm just about ready to cast on for the object. Hmmm . . . maybe if I just cast on now, I can take care of that.
Still remaining of my exceptions: Yarn for a t-shirt type thing (or Picovoli or Green Gables, or something like 'em) for me, and yarn from/for my SPs.
Actually, I cast on last night for the knitted object for my One Skein SP, and even used some of the yarn from my stash. And my stash already contains the yarn I'm planning to send for the July package. So I guess the exception for yarn for my SPs applies only to my knittyboard SP. And maybe I even have stuff for her in the stash. I think I'm beginning to enjoy "shopping in my stash" as much as I enjoy shopping in my closet and finding clothes I forgot I had, that I can now mix and match with newer pieces so as to make them look new again.
It's all good.
