The Ultimate De-Stashing
At some point in your life you have to stop, take a good, long look at yourself and decide to let go of childish things. The things that drag you down and cause you unhappiness. This, my fellow stashers, is me growing up by letting go of this:
I finally realized that I was never, ever going to knit all of this acrylic. It would just sit and waste away, filling me with guilt and a sense of worthlessness. So, I decided to give it a new home. Last night I put an ad on craigslist (go ahead and click it, there's a site for most metropolitan areas, even some for overseas) offering my yarn free to a good home. I came home to over 50 emails all requesting to pick up and use the stash that will soon cease to haunt me. The new owner will pick it up tomorrow morning and I will be free!
Free I tells ya!

I, too, released my big ole' bag of acrylics to my kids' preschool, a place where it will be used and loved, as opposed to sitting in the closet at my house, filling me with guilt, knowing I'd never use it. Isn't it a great feeling?
Head's up on getting rid of yarn. I was actually able to make money on my Walmart brand "Mainstay" yarn because the store decided not to carry it anymore. Crazy how a buck-77 can become five-50??
