what to do with some gray Lamb's Pride?
Well, I'm halfway through my Soleil, kinda slow knit because the Denise needle grabs the yarn. But I digress.
I have some gray Lamb's Pride that I frogged, lots of it. What have you made with LP? Any photos?
Any good ideas that you've been thinking about but haven't made? I'm thinking something coat-y. I googled for a pattern, but I'm not finding anything that appeals. Any and all ideas, once again, are welcome.
I don't think I'll get to it over the summer, but maybe there will be a Fall from Buying KAL. Goodness knows I have enough yarn for that!
I really need to unsubscribe from Elann's and Little Knit's sales emails. Resisting so far, but the flesh is weak.

Is it Lamb's Pride wool? If so, both the worsted weight and the bulky weight felt beautifully. Maybe some felted clogs or slippers?
I made samus from knitty in lamb's pride worsted and it is my favorite sweater. More of a jacket weight really.
And I have been eyeing a fibertrends pattern for felted sheep...they are soo cute! I saw the pattern at patternworks I think, but I have not purchased it yet because I don't have the yarn...
Samus is a good idea. I have a lot of this yarn, I frogged a sweater coat where I was knitting it doubled with a strand of boucle mohair.
Yeah, I'm nuts for frogging mohair boucle. But I did it and now I need to find a pattern for the LP yarn. I'm ignoring the boucle for now. I didn't enjoy knitting with it the first time and I'm not anxious to struggle with it any time soon.
Kim, I'm going to check your blog, hoping to see a pic of your Samus.
knitted toys by fiona mctague has a dog pattern, and toys to knit by tracy chapman has an elephant & mouse pattern. all would be awesome in LP, and if you double the number of stitches & rows, then felt & sew together the pieces, you'll use up even more!
I like the toy idea, not yet because I'd really like to make a sweater with this yarn, but after the sweater I know I'll have some leftover. I'll check out those books at the library, thanks for the tips Jen!
Well, because I'm a charity nut, can I suggest Children in Common? Lamb's Pride is perfect for shawls for the caregivers, fingerless gloves for the caregives, or vests/sweaters/socks for the kids. You could mix and match the grey with other colors of wool you might have to bright it up for the kids stuff, or just use it as is. It's warm, and that's what counts.
