~ Finally an introduction ~
Hi I am Nyxxie from KnittingNyxxie and I have a stash problem.
I joined this "diet" on or before Memorial Day cannot remember exactly when due to the huge amount of yarn that I have and the fact that I had a HUGE amount of bills that just surfaced that weekend. ( Vet bills for my poor kitty, who is all better now!!!! ) I knew I had to go on this diet to make room in my house but most of all to pay off his vet bill. It had already been a tramatic weekend due to the death of my beloved dog Harley who was struck by lighting. With everything changing so quickly in my life why not change my yarn puchasing habbits while I was at it!
The week that followed I really realized how out of hand my stash had become. When the lighting had killed my dog it came in the house and blew up a lot of electronic devices. Most of which were in the living room and the office. The office is also my craft room. I had to do some major cleaning up and moving of yarn to get everything out and replaced from the storm. I also have some major cleaning to do so that I could have my alarm fixed since the main board was in the closet and yarn blocked the door to the closet.
I REALLY needed to be on this diet. So I got some yarn together sold it online and started knitting with what I had. No yarn buying for me. I still have not decided what my exceptions are I know that one will be the yarn that I have on order at my LYS it had been on order forever it seems like and actually in the shop but I haven't been there to pick it up and for the above reasons haven't been able to go in. My other exception will be some Peaches and Cream yarn or the Sugar and Cream yarn to make some things out of Mason-Dixon Knitting but I will not spend more on yarn than I make on selling it. The last batch of yarn that I sold I had that money already accounted for so it doesn't count!
Thanks so much for having this diet I really needed it and the support from others who are not buying yarn at the same time! I will have to pick up somethings for my SP's but that will not be for me and will not stay in my possesion long at all so that will not count!
Everyone's projects look wonderful. I hope to be able to show off some soon. I haven't been knitting much due to a new pup in the family but you can read more about that on my blog!!!
