Butterflylane's confession
I'm a yarn junkie. It took me a week to find the guts to join this group. I've only been knitting for three months, but I've crocheted for fifteen years or so. I haven't actually taken any pictures of my stash yet, but when I dragged it all out to organize it the other day it covered most of my queen-sized bed.
I've already successfully averted temptation a few times- my kids (dd8 and ds5) point out yarn everywhere we go because they know what an addict I am. :) I'm especially proud of myself right now because Monday afternoon I got a baby shower invitation in the mail- and I used some of my stash to knit up a pair of teeny tiny baby socks instead of buying new yarn. (Pictures available on my blog if you're curious.)
My goals for this summer are:

My goals for this summer are:
- To finish some of my UFOs- which range from socks and scarves to afghans and even a purse (not to mention about six partially done dishcloths)
- To use up or get rid of the majority of my stash- or at least decide on a specific project for what's left
- To get a jump on Christmas presents- which means making a list of the people I'm giving things to, what I'm planning to make for who, and whether it's started, in process, or finished (yeah, I'm a list geek)
My exceptions are going to be held in reserve- I'm going to try really hard not to use them, but I'll admit that it makes me feel better to know that they're there in case I slip up.
My reward might be buying one of the really expensive yarns that I drool over to knit myself something nice. (I can't wait until I graduate, get a real job, pay back all of my student loans, and can afford to buy the good stuff!)
