These are my confessions...
Okay I so needed this. My name Al over at SNS, and I have a problem. But I guess we all do. Honestly, I spend more on yarn than I do on shoes. If you saw my closet, you would see that I spend entirely too much $$ on yarn. So I'm going to step up this challenge, to give my checking account the summer off, well not totally off I still buy shoes. Eh, so here goes....
My Goals:
My goal is basically to decrease my stash. As you can see below, it is out of control. I'm running out of space here.
My Challenge:
Is to consistently knit for the whole summer, without buying anymore yarn. Basically make use out of all my yarn even if it's not enough for a traditional project. Basically make something out of everything I have.
Oh and to complete enough projects to start a fo's page (well a decent one). That would be neat.
TEMPTATION:
NYC yarn shops! If you live in the city, live near the city, or visited long enough to visit a couple of Yarn Spots; you sooo understand my plight. I live in Jersey, and the express bus to the city runs right in front of my house. I'm there pretty often, and there hasn't been a time where I've gone without buying something knitting related. YIKES
Exceptions:
Some unheard of bin sale. I'm talking like odd ball sales of the expensive stuff. Like the time AC Moore had Gedifra yarn for less than $2 a ball. You can't pass stuff like that up. I managed to get enough for one project for less than the cost of 2 balls regular price.
Reward(s):
1) enough noro to complete a Clapotis. I saw a ball of it, that has gold specs. I soo need that in my life.
2) enough noro to complete the entrelac scarf in the Just Scarves book.
3) yarn meter; totally not needed but such a cool item to have.
Whew, when is this over again. I can feel the shakes coming already.
haha, may the force be with all of us.
