Aileen's Confession
Hello Everyone, my name is Aileen and I am a yarn-aholic. Also, I am a blog-virgin. All this is new to me...LYS(besides Michaels and AC Moore), natural fibers, patterns, and blogging. This is why it has taken me so long to admit this addiction. Intimidated with how to admit it, and how to post it on our blog page. So I procrastinate instead of dealing with the real issue...well I present my first ever blog and confession.
Counting all my WIPs and UFOs, I have at least five, which isn't so bad. The bad part is all the yarn I have purchased from all these website and LYS clearance bins. I have enough yarn for at least 20 or more projects! I know that we are already a couple of days into our struggle to resist any type of SEX, but I never thought it would be this hard. Looking at my stash, I think, "How will I create anything from all this yarn?" I get overwhelmed, feeling anxious, and my palms start to sweat. Then I think, " I can just write my blog, with and the help and support from you gals, we can help get through this one skein and one project at a time." Thank you Liz mentioning this blogger to help curb my addiction of yarn shopping.
My exceptions:
1. I will only buy yarn, if I run out of it to finish my UFO.
2. I never bought yarn for the baby sweater I told my friend I was going to make for his anticipated new arrival.
My reward:
1. A cleaner room (my boyfriend would be happy about this one!)
2. The satisfaction when I see the joy of friends and family, when they receive their handmade knitted gift.
